Blake Housley

    In 2009 I was a sophomore at Baptist Bible College, Springfield, MO when Ed Stetzer delivered a message and call to church planting in what I thought was going to be a normal chapel service. It was through the presentation of God’s Word and the moving of the Holy Spirit that drew my heart to acknowledge that one day, this would be what God would have me do.

    Since that day I have been following the leading of the Lord in serving Him faithfully through the local church. Specifically, I have served at Park Crest Baptist Church, Springfield, MO since 2007 and have served on staff since 2012.

    It was in March of 2021 when God began to move in me that it was time to begin the journey of fulfilling the call I received back in 2009. Since then I have gone through a church planting assessment, established Nashville, TN as the city to which God has called me, received ongoing church planting coaching, and continued to serve at my home church, Park Crest Baptist Church, which has agreed to be my sending church.

    I am now moving forward by building a launch team, establishing an intercessory prayer team, and sharing the vision for this church plant with potential financial supporters.
